What did we like?
The ship felt modern, clean, and the staff were friendly.
The kids club was excellent. There were lots of activities, space, and things for kids to do. They also have a partnership with Lego on the ship and there were lots of Lego-related events.
The availability of the Yacht Club was great. It is a game-changer in terms of luxury, convenience, and comfort.
The excursion organization was great. The staff were very helpful in organizing which excursions guests signed up for and made sure people were in the correct line quickly.
What didn't we like?
While it is a new ship, there were certain areas that felt overcrowded at times. This can be alleviated with better event management to spread out the crowd, but from our experience, we felt certain areas during the evening were chaotic at times.
Compared to a rival like Royal Caribbean, we felt that it lacked show options. On our cruise, there was no comedy show or aqua show. And also during the 7-day cruise, all shows were repeated.
While the cruise is affordable, once you are on the ship, there are a bunch of items that are not included that other ships like Royal Caribbean would have included. For example, water. There was no free water outside of the main dining areas. They also had great gelato, but none of it was included unless in main dining.
Verdict?
Comfort - 8
Convenience - 8
Value for the money - 9
Luxury - 7
On the scale of 1 - 10, we give this one: 8 🔥 (This is based off of a regular cruise fair vs Yacht Club. MSC cruise is worth a try for people who want to try a different cruise line than Royal Caribbean or Carnival)
