Should you visit the Capital One Lounge in Dallas Fort Worth?

Check-in at the Capital One Lounge DFW

About Capital One Lounge DFW

  • Location: Dallas Fort Worth Airport - Terminal D - Near Gate 22

  • About: To truly challenge the dominance held by AMEX Centurion Lounges, Capital One is finally offering their own lounges. We visited the one in Dallas Fort Worth. To get access, you will need one of Capital One’s premium cards. One we recommend is the Venture X (Here is the link to the referral page for 75,000 bonus miles). To get a day pass, you’ll need a same day boarding pass (keep in mind, to limit crowding, you can’t access the lounge earlier than 3 hours before your flight), and a day pass from your app (Capital One App -> Benefits -> Discover travel & lounges -> Select Account -> Lounges -> Search for your airport -> View Pass. You can have 2 guests for free. Note, if you are an authorized user on the account and have a separate login, you can get your own pass as well.

Capital One Lounge DFW (Bar & Tables)

Lounge Overview

  • The lounge has lots of amenities - Cycling & Yoga room (reservation required), shower suites (reservation required), relaxation rooms, nursing rooms, dining station, full bar, coffee bar, grab-and-go food station, and high speed internet.

  • While it doesn’t seem much, the grab-and-go food station was really convenient. We only had 30 minutes before boarding so our family ate a bit from the dining station then grabbed some food on the way out.

  • Like all lounges these days, it can get crowded. We only found a 2 seat table when we arrived.

To Go food at Capital One Lounge DFW

On the scale of 1 - 10, I give this one: 8.9 (Overall, the service and offerings were great, but lack of seating was a turn off. If you also have access to AMEX Centurion lounge, both are in terminal D so you can compare which one has less travelers at the time to help overcome the crowding. However, the best thing this lounge has is the Grab-and-Go food station. Even if there are no seating, you can at least grab some food to go. We still highly recommend a visit to Capital One lounge next time you are in DFW).
